• image to vector

    i have a photo on an image someone would like recreating and it needs to be in vector format, could some1 tell me the best software to convert the image to vector i have magic tracer but im not quite sure how to use it, basically i need to be able to cut it on my plotter

    Hi
    It depends on the type of image really. there are several ways to do it.
    you could first convert to 2 bit(b&w) image then trace.
    you could do a "woodcut" in corel, or most sign programs will do a "photocut" or halftone conversion

    You could even check out the tutorials, there is a good one on how to do a pop art image using halftones (sounds daft but do a search for pottyos)
