  • Complete cut out? How to?

Hello, this is probably a really simple question… I want to produce some simple vinyl stickers straight from my cutter… i.e. I have printed them and have the outline ready to cut round them, but I was my cutter to cut them so that they fall away from the sheet of vinyl.

I’m sure there’s a more technical term for this.

Many thanks in advance for your help.

    What cutter do you use?

Mimakis can do this, but I don’t know of any others.

Summa can also do it although I have never done it before, there is a setting for it and it is a separate cut file with a higher pressure to cut through the backing paper.

I suggest you look at the machines instructions because if it can be done it should tell you how it’s done in there.

    cheers

Bit late I know, but you can use these to stop you damaging machine. Never tried them myself, but that’s what they’re intended for.
