    Hi All

I have just purchased a new GCC plotter, which came with easysign software.

My problem is I have a lot of work saved as Gerber PLT files from my Composer software.

Can anyone help in how I can bring these files over to Easysign

    Thanks

    Richard

only way is to convert to AI via the composer software file converter

The PLT format in composer is their own proprietary format.

I dont know about easysign, but plt files can be imported to signlab, then exported to ai or whatever,

Just a thought, post one up and see if I can convert it for you as an experiment

    Peter

it appears you can’t attach plt,

Are you really saying that in order to do this, if it works, then I should get Signlab?

    Attach as a zip file,
Not suggesting you get signlab, but I would be willing to convert some of your files if it helps you out for the time being,

I found i can change them to AI in composer then open that it Coral,

But I have to then get it into easysign, and at the moment it appears to be a stripped down free version that came with the plotter, so nothing appears in the menu’s, i ‘am waiting for a reply this morning as to what i can do.

So it maybe i have to get more software anyway

    Hi All,

Thanks to Nigel from Grafityp, I am up and running with software, However I have another small problem!

I have a lot of fonts i have used that appear to be stuck in Gerber Composer. i am not against buying them but if anyone knows how i might get them out so i can use them in in other software it would be good.

    Cheers

    Richard.

    Hi
Gerber fonts as far as I know cant be used in other programs, a bit like signlab, although most will have an equivalent TT

As i said earlier, The PLT format in Composer is very different to the HPGL PLT format that you see in many programs.

Also Gerber fonts are special to their own program.

The Export converter in composer to get it to AI format is the only real way of transferring files.
