  • can anyone advise me on a gx24 vinyl rollers problem?

i have an annoying problem and i wondered what everyone else does – if they have it too

when i have a roll on the small carrier behind the machine, as it is going backwards and forwards with the cutting it unrolls itself 8 out of 10 times.

some times if i don’t watch it it can unroll a huge amount – sometimes the whole roll

i have the machine in a cabinet with a pull out shelf so there is nothing below the rear of it – is that the problem perhaps?

i have seen videos on you tube with the same machine in the us to see what they do – but for some reason the rolls seem to be rolled opposite to the uk (in the ones i’ve seen anyway) whereby the vinyl feeds from the bottom of the roll rather than the top.

i even pause the machine and tape the rolls sometimes

I have a Graphtec and it does that all the time, especially if there is less than, say, 15m on the roll. Also, the roll will fall off the rollers onto the floor.

    Bloody annoying.

on my fc7000 130 is a roller lock also on the roland printer it has a brake but don’t lock it.

you can jam a felt squeegee between the end of the roller and the frame.
