    Help!

I’m in the process of buying a Mutoh valuejet 1204 and am being offered two alternative Rip/cutter software bundles – either PosterPrint VJ Ed v12 or Onyx RIP.

Can anybody advise me as to which they think is better/easier to use?

    Thanks,

    Simon

We have been running a 1204 from Mistral (now posterprint) for about 8 months and had a lot of success. Onyx will give you more profiles for other brands of materials but to be honest the valuejet is so forgiving with profiles the 200 or so provided with Mistral covers all the bases.

I am not sure what the premium is for Onyx but if budgets are tight don’t bother as I doubt you will see much benefit.

Thanks Colin. That’s useful. I’m pleased to know the Valuejet is ‘forgiving’ too.
