    Im taking delevery of a Mimaki cutter next week and wondered if the cutter would be able to read tick marks created by my Shiraz Rip?

    Steve,

    Not sure what you are trying to do, but we don’t use Shiraz for putting in registration marks.

    We use FineCut to put them in an Illustrator file, which we save as an eps, and then print. FineCut picks them up for contour cutting no problem.

    The training you get with a new Mimaki should cover all that.

    yep … finecut does all the work… although you need to be an illustrator or corel user i think.

    So I use Illustrator/Finecut to produce crop marks, and then send to Shiraz to print?

    yep… finecut is a pluggin to illustrator and makes the crops for printing and also drives your plotter
