    Hello!

    I have a Mutoh Rockhopper 38,

    Here is my problem:
My black and magenta will not print at all not one speck,
lines and ink ok, dampers full, syringed ink through ok through head,
even soaked heads with cleaning solution…
No black or magenta prints on nozzle check.
Sent blocks of K and M to print and nothing prints at all.

Any idea what I can do?
    Any feedback greatly appreciated!!
    Thanks in advance!!
I am located on a small Greek island so getting tech help
means packing your printer and shipping it off…

Also where can I order new print heads, dampers, pump?

is the capping station dry when it cleans itself where the 2 colours should be coming through??

The capping station is ok. I can siphon ink through it out to the waste tank tubes. I also soaked the heads with cleaning fluid overnight and ink flowed freely out of them so they appear not to be clogged. I even removed the capping station and pump and checked but they were not clogged.
I still don’t get even a speck out of M and K, C and Y are working perfectly.

oh i know the jv3 will blow fuses on the head card… hmm

i am wondering if the cables could be swapped between heads? (i have no idea as never seen the insides)… however on the jv3s range where one head shares two colours, if you get the cables in the wrong holes I believe it will blow the fuse

is it the same pump that pumps both black and magenta on that model?

Sound like air getting into the pump to me. Not that I’m an expert. Have you checked that its actually pumping the ink, not with the syringe?

    Just a thought

    Hi

My Mimaki seems to have the same problem, it won’t print anything. One minute its working perfectly with a perfect test print, the next no ink will come through at all, can’t even get a test print. No ink coming from any of the heads. The heads run back and forth but do not print.

I have pulled out the boards and can’t see any visual sign of a fault on them. I found 3 fuses on the power supply board but they all checked out OK.

Let us know if you have solved your problem yet, and what was the solution.

    Thanks
