Can anyone suggest a good router bit for cutter?
Posted by Martin Manley on 2 May 2008 at 12:34Can anyone suggest a good router bit/cutter for putting the groove in Dibond to get that nice rounded edge – using a hand router, not a computer…

Yeah, what Peter said. Grind the point to give a 3.5mm wide flat end. When you use it, the resultant groove will look massive and you’ll think "Blimey" but it’ll fold up lovely.

If you are making a tray, I would consider giving Cherwell a call for a quote, They do an excellent job, and and you dont have to mess around!
I have made a few in the past, but now just buy them in (cherwells corners though are very sharp)

The best router bit I’ve found is a ‘3/8 half round’. Folds up beautifully (allows for a slight overbend to relax back to 90. If like me you put glue (Evostik – serious stuff) into the channel it also holds & bonds it to a solid angle. The channel looks HUGE, but always folds up crisp. Done several 10′ panels with 50mm returns – no problems.

quote Pryam Carter:Jag sign supplies sell the bit you need.
Yes but bl00dy expensive… buy one from B & Q, good quality "v" bit £15 and grind it down as mentioned above…..
