• Average cost

    Hi all,

I just had an email asking the average cost for a wrap of a Fiat Doblo. Can anyone give me an average cost to let them know. I’ve worked out a price and I want to see if I on the ball or way off target.

    Thanks in advance

Mark, most people dont like to post prices in the open forums, as the "competition" could be looking. 😉

You will be lucky to get an "average" cost though as there are quite a few variables, like what type of material, laminated for long term, or just a short term promo. print quality, artwork and, how proficient you are at fitting etc.

But anything between £600, for an unlaminated colour change, and £1500 for a full high quality wrap will be the around the going rate.

Are you in the target area?

I love these customers, "I need a sign, how much?"

And usually they shrug when you start to ask about design/size/substrate/fitting etc etc.

As a wide ball park though, go with Peters figures.

Then add 20% for the pain in the ass factor 😀 😀 😀

I think we all get customers like this sometimes ( often either builders or boy racers ) –

‘I want some signs for my van, how much will they cost ?’

‘What sort of thing are you looking for, sir ?’

    ‘I dunno, just something good’

‘Well, if you give us a rough idea of the sort of look you want, sizes etc… we can go from there, we cant really give a quote without having some idea of the sort of thing you want ( throw us a fuxxing bone here !!! )’

‘Oh, I thought you’d just be able to tell me the price ! you’re not very helpful are you ?’

[ rapidly losing the will to live ] ‘OK, somewhere between £10 and £10,000’

‘I’ll leave it, I can get them on Ebay for 10p including free delivery, fitting and a bl0w job from the sellers wife’

    Hi Peter,

Thanks for your input. I’m above your highest price. My reply to the customer was " how much do you want to spend on your graphic for your van? " Think I’ve scared him off already.

Hi Mike, Can you tell me which Ebay seller you can get a blowjob from the sellers wife ;o)

I get those calls all the time. Just "how much do you charge?" To which the only reply is "what exactly do you want?" You have to romance the info out of them – and not like the lady on E-Bay. 😳 I get all the info, then go away and really add it up & get back to them. If you let them buffalo you into saying any number at all it sticks in their brain, no matter how you try to say it’s a rough estimate. If it’s too low they freak if you try to raise it, and if it’s too high you lose them right there.
