I was one of the fitters 😀 😀 😀 the stripes are fitted to the inside of the glass………but across two separate offices with no visible joins….this photo ( from my phone) lets you see how much how much vinyl and pre-mask tape was involved in the smaller of the offices.

Should have said……look at the amount of safety equipment we HAD to use……steel toe capped boots ( covered with blue plastic covers), hi viz vests, safety glasses and hard hats………we managed to get away with not wearing the rubber gloves that everyone else on site had to wear.

I’m surprised the H&S brigade haven’t infiltrated the armed forces yet.
Can you just imagine it – our armed forces kitted out in Hi Vis vests so that the tank commanders don’t accidentally run over our brave soldiers. Meanwhile Taliban snipers would have a field day 😕

How long will it be before Tesco’s checkout operators are forced to wear Hi Vis vests to satisfy some H&S legislation 😕

Darn it – right in the middle of a hijack and you have to bring it back on course Harry 🙄

ACTUALLY………..6′ dayglow banners used to adorne the tops of most of the vehicles, I think mainly to guide A10’s in on them.. 😮 😮
Unless on a "war footing" we adhere to the majority of UK law no matter where in the world we go. Vehicles in Afghanistan will go through compulsory safety checks on a 14 day basis, and not 365 days as in the UK
Drivers hours are the biggest pain in the a$$……excellent for looking after the guys from being over used, but has the knock on effect of ramping up the numbers of personnel to cover for those on mandated rest periods.
There is a big debate going on now about the recovery vehicles meeting current regs with all round hi-vis markings. A couple of years back while out on the road, our Foden 6×6 recovery truck was rear-ended 3 times.
