I have an enquiry for 2 entrance signs about 20ft back from the road, either side of a driveway. They will be sited about 2ft above ground.
Are there road safety/planning issues when using a white reflective background for the panels with regard to the roadway being fairly close?
    They will be about 1400mm x 800mm.

Also, what would be the better aesthetically and to be seen at night , a reflective white background with normal vinyl text, all reflective (background and text), or plain vinyl background with reflective text (green).

Point to be aware of, last night while driving I passed a few temp signs where the background and text was reflective. This combination made it quite hard to read, even with it being white on red.

I would do what they do on road signs – white reflective background with black non-reflective text. That reads well at night, I’ve done it.

I’ve seen that too Graeme – lacks contrast both being reflective.

Andy, this would seem the best to me.

Anyone else had experience of reflective backgrounds?
