Hi all,i’ve been engraving for a number of years now, most jobs being on 2-ply internal engraving material for door plates, badges, etc.I recently saw some pics of "edge-lit" signs on the net and decided to persue this further. My plan is this: I reverse-engrave onto 10mm thick acrylic. From the left and right sides i drill 4/5mm holes for blue LED’s.By powering-up the LED’s,will my engraving stand out? Or is there something i’ve missed out?

You would still have to hide the wiring away somewhere, and all the holes would also light up.

Thanks for the advice,Peter.I plan to use 10mm aluminium chanelling to hide the wires, and if deep enough, should also hide the "spray" from the LED’s.
