Right, I trawled through Istock the other day looking for an image of a pallet truck with some boxes. Found what I was looking for, showed it to the customer and he was delighted. I went to buy the thing today and it has disappeared!! (hot) Van comes in later in the week and I’ve to print, laminate etc etc. Anyone heard of images disappearing before?

Hi – Ive never seen anything disappear from Istock – but have on other sites – Why try Shuttertock or other sites – sometimes images are duplicated on these!

Maybe try a few different spellings. Palette is the correct spelling, but it’s an easy one to get wrong (I did the first try in Google until it corrected me!) More than likely the person that posted the image mis-spelled the word as well. 😀

Oops my mistake. You are correct with your spelling. I apologize. Although it would be easy for another person that posted their picture to make the same mistake.

    Nick,

re: istock, I once found an image, made a note of the number, and then could never find it again when typing the number in the search engine. Make sure that you have all the tick box options open at top (i.e. photo, illustration, etc) – have a feeling that I was after, say, a particular illustration, but had the tick box off and it was only searching photos….if that makes sense. Worth a try re-checking in case.

Since then I make a note of author and no. of downloads as well – or just save in favorites in internet explorer.

    good luck

Couldn’t find it 😥 Spent about 2 hrs trawling through but to no avail. Bit of a pi5h day actually, after that I reversed one of the vans into a bollard outside the workshop. Think I’ll just go straight to bed before anything else happens :lol1:

Nick, try the Internet Explorer’s History! It saves all opened istock page, search results etc. …If not too late.

Thanks for the help guys, much appreciated. I’m sure it must’ve been removed for some reason. Had another long look through tonight but still couldn’t find it – even double checked the proof I gave the customer to make sure I wasn’t imagining it all :lol1:

Again, thanks for all the help. 😀

Nick, I always save the file I’m interested in to a lightbox.

I’m a contributor too, and Istock are presently going through and deleting images that have small, if any, sales, or that they deem poorer quality than they want to have on file.

They give us a few weeks to argue why it should not be deleted, then delete it anyway 😮

I’d say this is the reason it may have disappeared.
