can anyone help me with contour problem please?
Posted by Harry Cleary on 7 March 2008 at 20:32Using X3….I have created a contour on a logo I want to use at various sizes, is there a way to ‘lock’ the contour so that it stays in proportion to the letter size, without having to do it manually each time I resize. Hope that makes sense.

If you scale both up together as 1 unit then it should not be a problem. Can you post a picture of what you are trying to do as it is a bit confusing?

Harry…I’ve had a couple of beers so excuse me if I’m wrong
If you break the contour apart it should then scale up and down proportionately with the text……………..I think

If you want the proportions to always be the same then simply scale up as 1 unit. Do not increase the point size of the text, the text must be a path and then group all together and then scale it all up at once.
Hope I understand and it helps.

Cheers Glenn…but that was what I was hoping to avoid doing as I have quite a few vehicles to do of differing types.
Warren, that’s exactly what I did there…..grouped and enlarged the whole lot.
I think that is what you mean, but Corel seems to make an adjustment itself. -
Harry….not sure if I’m following you but the breaking apart is just an instruction….you don’t have to physically separate the text from the outline
if you break apart and then group them it still scales proportionately

can you show a before and an after picture (quick before Rob delete’s the other post 😉 )

Hi there,, to increase or decrease in proportion a contour, you must activate the "scale image" once you open the CONTOUR icon.
Hope it helps
