  • How do i attach Cut letters to granite building face please?

    hi everyone

i have got this job next week where i have to stick 3mm alluminium cut letters to the face of a granite cladded building.

The letters are really big 1.3mt high.

I have seen a type of silicone epoxy glue that mixes in two tubes. You use a special gun to apply it. We don’t want the risk of it falling off.

We have come up with the idea of using a very strong 3M double sided tape and then using siicone. Do you think this will work.

I just dont know what the other stuff was called. Can anyone help with the name of it or any other suggestion to attach it to the building.

penloc sets rock hard in 4 – 5 mins, its a structural adhesive.

If the granite surface is fairly smooth, and the letters aren’t too heavy,
I’d use double sided foam fixing tape and a flexible solvent based ‘no nails’ building adhesive.

    good idea.

I have found a stuff called sika flex 252 looks like it will work good. Going to use it in conjunction with 3M VHB tape.

    Think it will work good.
