    Hi all
    I worked on plotter gerber p2c using omega composer in my last job and i am quite used to it,but now gonna boy new plotter and would like to stay on the same software.Is it possible to use omega composer for all plotters or should i rather learn corel draw or illustrator to dont be limited by software?I use fonts in omega which i cant find at illustrator and already know how to use it.Unfortunately spandex is not gonna sell p2c serie anymore. 🙁 Thanx

    I use Omega with my fastrack (mutoh)

    Most cutters work with Omega. The p2c is a re-badged summa D-series opus plotter and is recognised in omega as a p2c. If the name of the cutter isn’t in the list you can install it or run it as HPGL. So yes you should be able to run most Plotters.

    Ok thanks.In a case it wont work on plotter i will buy, is it possible to do design in omega and transfer to illustrator as a vector when its finished?

    Yes you can but Omega’s exporting options are not great unless you have the latest version. Can’t you save a file now in Omega as an AI and test?
