    HI DEREK

had this problem when i first bought my grenidier – it came down from the warehouse with really fine overspray of grease/oil from the manufacture

had to have engineer down to give it a right going over

maybe you might have got some of the same thing from something you sprayed near by maybe???

or maybe worth a powerful clean on the heads??

yep good spring clean around in and on the printer. try another make of vinyl as-well just to check. any body sneezed near it.

ps you might have defections on the black head as well not this problem.

hi again after a fair bit of trial and error i have went back to the cadet plus set up rather than the sp540v
and it is printing as it was no problem the the colours are not as vibrant but not flooding the sheet as they were

i know it looked pretty bad as if it was a machine problem but i think it was a set up problem. as its running fine (fingers etc crossed)
