526 Matt
275 Matt
268 Matt
513 Matt
7437 MattCustomer does not want it printed and insists on cut vinyl.
Thanks

Warren, show him your swatches, and ask him which colours he wants, otherwise you will never match so many, even with print, its almost impossible to match on vinyl, and guarantee a pantone.

Hi Peter
The problem is it is for a very large retail company and if I can get this work it will be brilliant for business, his logo is made up of these colours and due to the application he wants it in cut vinyl and as colour accurate as possible. None of the colours overlap each other and it is all for interior use so I was hoping to find colours across all the ranges of supplied to match these.
I have a Pantone book on the way but thought I might get a head start here 😉
I will also be doing some printed logos but he still wants the cut vinyl as well. 😕
Cheers

you could try Spandex and the Avery range don’t know if they do it in matt but they do have matched Pantone colors. However i think you have to buy a full roll per color.Kev

If these are to be in a matt finish – your choice is even more limited.
However if gloss – I would suggest the following as the closest if can find in the Oracal range (751)
526 = 40
275 = 518
268 = 403
513 = ?
7437 = 42None are exact matches – and it depends on the lighting conditions under which you look at the colours.

Thanks guys
I know Matt is going to be a problem but all their graphics are matt and are matched to the matt (uncoated) Pantone.
Would printing and contour cut work?

i have printed onto matt removable grade in the past with good results, however color match is another issue.Kev

your best bet for indoor point of sale it this.
Print it onto a UV flat bed machine. UV inks give off a very nice matt finish. Try and find a local printing house with a good UV machine. Get them to die cut if possible or maybe you can cut them manually yourself.

Thanks again all
What are my best options for an accurate digi print? I need to get these logos printed but must be as close to the pantones as possible?

Can a Gerber Edge do pantone colours and on to clear vinyl? This could be an option I could use instead of printed and contour cut or looking for cut vinyl colours.
but only if customer is willing to have gloss I suppose, but can a Gerber do it?

IS IT GOING ONTO A WHITE BACKGROUND??
IF SO THEN YOU COULD USE A MATT CLEAR STOCK AND PRINT UV.
UV GIVES VERY GOOD COLOURS AND YOU SHOULD GET THOSE PANTONES ACCURATELY.
NOT FAMILIAR WITH GERBER

WHAT DOES YOUR CLIENT HAVE AT THE MOMENT??
IF IT IS CUT VINYL THEN IM SURE YOU COULD FIND A MATCH.
BUT I DID HAVE A LOOK AT THE COLOURS AND THEY ARE NOT EASY TO MATCH. SO I VERY MUCH DOUBT THAT HE HAS EXISTING CUT VINYL BRANDING.
HAVE A LOOK AS TO WHAT HE HAS NOW AND TRY AND MATCH THAT CLOSEST.

Thanks for the input Dane, I am just waiting for him to get back to me as I did ask him those same questions. I don’t think he has had it in cut vinyl before but it is going on to a frosted perspex panel and this is why he does not want a square printed logo.
cheers
