  cutting speeds and passes for 8mm cast clear acrylic??

  Hi all,

  Have some acrylic letters to cut later and can’t find my reference book……

  Anyone know how many passes to do 8mm clear cast acrylic and spindle speed etc???

  what size are the letters?

  some are 60mm and some are 350mm and some shapes as well!

  Just got in this morning, sorry for the late reply are you running carbide spiral O tools, if so i would use a 4mm tool and cut the job with two passes @ 17mm/sec 21000 rpm. Your feeds and speeds book may disagree however these speeds work well for me on acry and the carbide tool strokes leave a decent finish that helps with the polishing
