  Hey guys,

  Which Pantone books should I buy to color matching?

  Coated,uncoated,matt?

  Also whats the colour bridge book?

  We use the coated version. Most of our vinyls, inks, paints dry glossy. The uncoated chart is for printers that are printing on uncoated stock where the colors go dull.

  definitely the coated colours, the bridging book is a cross reference between CMYK and pantone colours.

  BTW if you see a pantone ref like 495C the ‘c’ means coated or put it another way, gloss.
