Hi Monty,
Over here (WA) the material is called Rice Paper. Whether it is actually made from rice I’m not sure. 😕
I don’t know where to get it from though.Paul.

i did try printing on to the rice paper years ago for a mate making a board in the end it was air brushed with inks etc, as to much dot gain and no vibrancy.

traditionally artwork has been screen printed onto that rice/tissue paper, now with modern printers you dont need to screen print- you just print artwork straight out- the paper is to thin and rips, but there is a thin material which i have seen, and it can be printed onto and laid onto the surfboard then glassed over. I am trying to source the fabric/material that it is printed onto.

Hi Monty
You need to get the attention of Shane Drew or Micheal Potter ,They life near the Gold Coast, and if they don’t know nobody does.Graham

Hey Monty, Ring AGS on the Gold Coast 1300 132 677. Not sure who the Rep is down there anymore because the lovely Kerry moved on recently, but they should be able to point you in the right direction.
Good to see you and Paul (Frog Man) on the boards again
