    Hi Guys,
    Dont know what my partner done but he says;

    Burak:
"The vinyl was stucked when i went to check the machine. I couldnt remove the vinyl too. So i put the cams up and removed the vinyl, but i had to move the head a bit to left, reason is because i couldnt remove the vinyl, knife was stucked.

Than we tried sending another job, but it displays as SYNTAX ERROR. we though it may be because of software that we are running Signlab 7. But, not, its not.
I beleive my partner has mis-aligned the heads or something likethat. Does anyone know how to go back to factory settings with this machine??
    Please help..

(OMG. got a problem with HP 5500PS (displaying disk cannot start) got problem with Vinyl cutter. !!! ARGGGGGGGGGGHHH!!)

sounds like either an encoder problem or slipped or snapped belt. Is it initilising when switched on?

    well thanx for attention,
it starts and moves to left and right. It initilises with no problem. When i send job, it displays as SYNTAX ERROR, when i change the setting from SignLab to HPGL rather than Summa-D, it starts to draw but assume i have sent letter A, it just does the border of A bot not the line between the border.

Signlabs Summa D series driver is a DMPL based driver.
Your Summa can be set for a couple of languages,
It can be set for DMPL , which is summas own language, or HPGL
I think someone changed the language on the plotter from DMPL to HPGL.

I would try setting the plotter back to DMPL.
If you are sending via serial port, make sure both the plotter and Signlab are set for 9600 Baud , 8 Data, 1 Stop, No Parity and either hardware or xon/xoff

However, you should also have little problem sending HPGL to the cutter.
You may need to be carfull about which HPGL driver you pick so that there is no blade offset problem.
    Hope this helps.

    Now even worser.
When i tried to send a job e.g. a STAR
it draws lines all over the vinyl,
    dont know what to do?//
