  • need help please with a gravograph LS100 55 Watt laser?

    Hello all
I think i need some help we have a LS100 with a 55 Watt laser
and so does our parent company but they are engraving rubber at a much higher speed then we are even tho we have the same machine
we have to drop our speed down to 15% just to get the same depth as they do at 29% speed (all at 100% power)

but one thing i have noticed that the laser engraver was set as a 30Watt laser in the firmware setup i have since changed this setting to 55 Watt and had no change in depth with the same speed
every thing else on this machine says its a 55 watt but is it possible that this is a 30 watt machine with a 55 watt label on it
the only way i can think of checking now is getting a power meter
any pointers would be much appreciated

    ps what is a is7000

always wanted a laser but need to find customers first.
they have just installed a big waterjet cutter around the corner cant wait for a customer for stand off letters. it will cut 100 mm stainless with water!

The Gravograph Engineer came today took him 10 Min’s to figure out the laser is no good its only giving out 33 wats and it should be dishing out 55
he is going to send a replacement yay
he spent more time looking at our is7000 it crashed while he was looking at it so he upgraded the firmware
and hes recommended a full service because he said the bridge is loose
