    Hi everyone,

Am a new member in this forum and I would like to say a big hello to everyone.
I am having problems printing on glossy and translucent media. Must admit I am a novice in this area. Just started about four months old in large format printing. For PVC media its fine. I owned a JV3-160. Each time I print on transluscent media, the ink gets wet and puddled. Any advise would be helpful.

Ink pooling usually results from too much ink and/or too little heat. What’s your heaters set at?

check with your supplier. Some transluscent media are not designed for digital printing, only for screen printing.

Thanks bill for your comment and reply. I did tried setting at a higher temperature 45C. The software I used is wasatch. I also tried using the printing profile that I downloaded at the mimaki website for printing transluscent media. The other thing is my new machine fan is not running and I am using a standing fan. I also tried setting the ink delimiter. The printing turned out dry but the colour was out of the required specification. Colour calibration is the other setting that I also played around with but so far have not succeded.
