car windscreen stickers
Posted by Jon Castle on 26 October 2007 at 23:01Can someone help me, I’ve had many enquiries for Stickers, that can be place on the inside of a Cars windscreen, and you are able to read from the outside and not from the inside, I’ve tried a couple of ways, but not as good as the one i’ve mentioned. Can someone tell me the process involved, is it quite lengthly etc, Any help would be appreciated.

they will need to be screen printed so they have a white backing… or
someone with an thermal printer… i.e. edge or summa dc-series printer… as these machines can also print direct to clear and back up with white.there are some solvent inkjets like the mimaki jv4 or 5 that can do white also… but not heard much reports on them to recommend…

JV3 will print white.
Not tried it myself, but I doubt it would be opaque enough for a windscreen sticker.

Reverse print on clear and then laminate with white 😕 That’s how I get my window graphics done if needed for inside of window?
I thought this was the norm 😕

You can also get white self cling. You face print the material, and it still
sticks to the inside of windows, even after printing. Saves having to print
the white back-up. This is how we do 95% of our window stickers now.Cheers,

We either get the self cling from Hexis or Allprint supplies. Using Mimaki
SS2 ink on a JV3, but I know someone who prints it on a VersaCamm using
Max inks, so you should be OK. I think the material is in the region of £200
for a 1370 x 50m roll, but you may be able to negotiate.Cheers,
