design help please need a cool modern look for sign?
Hi All,
Have cme up against a brick wall on this one, I have been asked by this band to design a ‘cool, modern look’ for them which eventually will go on a backdrop. But I’m drawing a blank as you can see. They explicitly forbid the use of musical instruments though!
Any ideas from you good people?

Harry, with all due respect, I think there is too much emphasis on "Society" and not enough on "Jazz".
Try a thinner script, or try a different arrangement.

Phill, I like yours, has that classic feel.
Altho I do not like Jazz, the name of this society makes me think of New Orleans.

btw I want Valentino for my birthday, cool font. tried to buy it but the site wouldnt let me…..have had that problem before on that site.

I have dealt with him in the past and his service was excellent.
If there is a glitch on his site, he needs to know!

nice glen…and nice choice of font 😀 have to be honest, everytime i go and give my wee rendition of a design my mind goes blank…weird..but when in workshop and have to make money, the ideas flow…… 🙄 dont know if anyone else has the same problem 😀

I’m going through a no imagination stage at the minute….99% of the time I am designing For Sale signs so it can go it bit stale at times….that’s why I enjoy trying to help out here….something different 😀

2 more cracking designs! I love the Jazz in both of them. I have done a temporary job for them using Rob’s dog, but I will get down to a final one over the weekend. Thanks everyone for taking the time…..and stop skivving Nik!!!! 😀 😀
Jill I emailed Steve C before and heard nothing back, I think it just doesnt recognise Ireland for some reason. Some fabulous brushie fonts on there though. Must try it by Paypal instead of a Credit Card.

I bought the font from the site on Jill’s recommendation (thanks Jill) and had no problems. Have used it several times in the last few weeks and I’m still not fed-up with the font yet.
Is your credit card out of date by any chance….?

Just attempted to buy it again and when I click ‘view cart’ it just goes back to the same page, I can’t get past that.Never had that kinda difficulty spending money on the web before! 😮

Have just checked here and I bought it through PayPal. Not sure why I did this cos I normally use c-card directly. Possibly had the same issue as you.(with the site, NOT THE WIFE!! ) 😛
