SP540V internal error
Hi there,
My SP540V was working just fine yesterday, but today… I can print for about 30 seconds, then the printer says "cancelling job". When I try to turn it off it gives me either internal error 1650462 or 1280874. I haven’t changed anything since yesterday, except that I now have heaps of printing to do and no printer.
Does anyone know the codes or a workaround?

Did a yahoo search & came up with this from Dec 2005 on a U.S. printing forum.

they came today and replaced the servo board and everything is up and running again…
they said that Roland had told them that there was a bad batch of them get out however my serial number showed that mine was not one of them…yaMight at least be a start.

Sweet, thanks Dave. It has been hot today for the first time in a while, so I might try pointing all my fans and AC at the printer and turn the heaters down. See if that does anything.

What are you printing on? Is it a full roll? Have you tried prefeeding the media into the printer so it isn’t pulling the roll?
Using I get a Motor Error when I have this problem. It’s worth a try.

I haven’t had any problems with motor errors except for once when I lent against the roll while it was printing. It didn’t like that.
I pointed 2 fans and an air conditioner at the machine and managed to get one of the jobs done. I also turned the heaters down a bit. I guess my servo board is overheating then, but keeping it cold makes it work. I will hopefully get someone out to fix that shortly, but thanks for the information Dave as I probably wouldn’t have tried cooling it otherwise.
