    Has anyone had this problem?
If I load material of about 300mm wide the machine can’t detect the width, shows 0mm. The pinch rollers are all in position correctly. It will however detect the width with 610 wide material.
I’ve either got dirt in one of my eyes, but where, or is it that flat cable?

    Hey Steve,

I’m no expert here but isn’t the material width determined by where the last pinch roller is? And it has to be where those metal patches are? Doesn’t the last pinch roller have to be a specific one? You sure you got the right one?

I might be totally wrong in giving this advice.

Thanks for that, there are only 2 pinch rollers on my machine so not really possible to get it wrong.
Roland Tech Service tell me it is almost certainly the ribbon cable that flaps about above the knife carriage that is the cause. New problem same culprit, that’ll be the third in 18 months
