why do i keep getting a JV3 Error 23 please?
Hi
Been using a JV3 for about 6 months. Bought reconditioned full warranty (12 months parts and labour).
The machine is great but we have been getting "Error23" ever since day one.Has anybody else had this problem?
Despite my own (and AIT’s) efforts we can’t seem to get to the bottom of it.
Error 23 happens – print stops – bin gets full.It is supposed to be some sort of firewire problem but we have changed everything in the printer and the card in the PC
Knowing the previous owner would be good but not easy to find out.

Have you tried a different, or a shorter, firewire cable?

It happened to me, hibrid changed the card in the printer, to no avail. then supplied a new firewire card, and cable.Touch wood all is fine. I have heard about problems with firewire cards, and even after fitting new ones, so maybe a new card?

I cant remember the error code or what happened, but I did have lots of firewire issues. I did spend hours and i did fix it, but was it this error code.
Anyway, as u may already know:-
Error 23 – Host I/F
• A time limit exceeded error
occurred in communication
between the host computer
and the interface board.
