  • Foamex Blackboard???

I have just received yet another mind puzzling request. Does anyone know or has anyone ever made a foamex black-board? or knows what it lookes like? I have been doing sign work for this certain pub now for a few months. The manager now wants to scrap his foamex type blackboards that the brewery has supplied him and wants me to come up with a funky design for him on similar material. The problem is, I haven’t a clue what it’s made from. It looks like black foamex with blackboard vinyl on. is this a possibility and if so what pens and chalks would you need.

    Thanks

    J

You can get blackboard vinyl and apply it directly to black foamex and use chalk or blackboard pens on it ….works well…fold it around 19mm foamex for a nice chunky look

you can also cut a rectangle mouse mat shape [with rounded corners] and stick it to your desk, very good for optical mouses (!) you can even lift and stick it down somewhere else……..

I find 2 coats of chalkboard paint does the job.

fir chalks I would recomend liquid chalk – these are actually rain proof – but do wash off when required!
