    Hi All,

I’ve been asked by a customer to do some chevrons on the back of a Renault Kangoo, with "Highway Maintenance" written across the back. Usual red/yellow sort of thing.

Never done this before and am not sure how to go about it. Have looked at all the relevant posts on here already, and Rob’s demo. They want reflective. What grade should be used? Do both colours have to be reflective? Can it be cut by my graphtec, or should I buy a kit, where from? Is producing the outline for each panel reliable enough to do from a normal vehicle outline? What width does each chevron need to be and at what angle?

Sorry, so many questions, so confused?? 🙄 😕 🙄

    Thanks 🙂

Chevrons are often 6" wide and at about 45 degrees. I don’t know if there are any legally required specifications. Easiest way to fit a one off is to use 6" wide material, butted and trimmed on the vehicle. You can make a set up on the bench but you’ll need an accurate template to work from, NOT a vehicle outline from a disk. Material choice is governed by their budget but most opt for engineering grade rather than high conspicuity materials like Diamond Grade.
