  Acrylic advice

  Hi All

  Just doing a small clear Acrylic panel sign, removed the face protection to lay on the vinyls and was just wondering if it is Ok to recover the Acrylic in app tape for transportation and fitting purposes or would the app tape adhesive have an adverse reaction on the Acrylic, I know from previous posts that meths etc can affect so just checking.

  No – application tape (certainly the paper type) is perfectly OK as a mask for short periods (a week or so). It will leave a slight surface ‘mottling’ but that just wipes straight off.
