pop-up cartridges
Posted by Jason Davies on 12 September 2007 at 21:08Hi, I have been asked to make up some of these for an exhibition, my problem is I can find a supplier for the material but nobody seems to have the bases in stock, tried Grafityp, Spandex etc and no luck. Anyone know of a good source.
Thanks

easystands.com do a budget line of them at about £15 each including shoulder bag. you may have to buy 5 or 10 as a minimum quantity, but at that price what can you expect? 😕

Horizon Signs are the right price as well.
And Hexis also have a budget range. And you can buy in singles.

Thanks guys, I am now running a VP300 sounds a stupid question but most of the material is supplied in 916mm, does anyone use this size of machine to make them up and I guess I would have to ask the supplier to slit it down?

slight problem as most cassettes are 850 wide, bit bigger than the printer.
i looked but could not find any 600mm oneschris

Hi Chris, I’ve found 800mm cassettes, is it a problem to lose a 100mm? My vinyl supplier seems to think they can source 760mm substrate though

Hi Jason,
We print laminate and then cut ours to fit perfectly.
Cutting it after wards takes about 5 mins.Cheers

Are you talking about pop-ups or roller banners?
We use ultima for both – you can get cheaper, but they almost all look cheaper too.
The roller banners can be bought in various sizes from (I think) 600mm up to 2m (not exactly sure – most of ours are 800mm or 1m), but the pop-ups are very constrictive in the size of the prints you can use on them. From memory, each panel needs to be 673mm for the ones we generally use because of the placings of the magnetic holders. -
