  Lines through me prints

  I’m not sure if this topic had been touched on before but i have a quality problem with me SP300. When printing it leaves small black lines going through the prints.

  Before buying the business we had the printer serviced and wasn’t aware
  of the lines then. In the 3 weeks that we have been here i’ve cleaned the machine 3 times and kept good care of it.

  As i am new to this it would be appreciated for some help.

  what does the test print look like?

  also make sure there are no fibres or debris being dragged along with the head.

  is te line regular/irregular?

  is it black or is it just feed correction values that need altering?

  if you print a file that has a lot of white space do you get the black lines through the white also?

  Are you printing a jpeg or and eps
  I’ve seen this before with jpegs and drop shadows

  Hi Ian
  The lines show up on all printing. The test print has some lines missing in all colours but most in the black
