  • Replacing pump on the Versacamm SP540 – spiritual guidance

I have to replace the pump in our Versacamm SP540 tomorrow, all I have is some hastily scribbled notes from the engineer over the phone. He has made it sound really easy, is there anything I need to know, any problems I should be aware of.
Oh yeh, could you all prey for me as well!

martin it is pretty easy (even for me) just take your time make sure you have plenty cloth around as the pipes when unclipped will drip and splash
make sure not to pull the pipes which come from the capping stations when unclipping . also make sure new pump is greased .
if your old one isnt cracked which is fairly common ,get some new tube and re plumb it for a spare

I recently had to change the pump on my Cadet which is the same machine.

    It was "easy peasy"

    " No problemo"

    " piece -o- p ish" 😀

    Thanks Derek,
My confidence is fairly high at the moment. The pump arrives tomorrow, so we shall see. Perhaps I might take some photos of work in progress and post them up if might be of use to anyone.

that link is not JV3 pump… so i dont know.. .the jv3/grenadier pump is fairly easy, just got to make sure the rotating gear teeth do not rub against the side of the tubes or disaster will happen.

due to a near accident recently when repairing the JV3, please use specs and gloves, I do from now on lol
