Hi Guys, I’m may be in need of a liquid laminator to fulfill the terms of a tendor. I need something that dries as well as laminates, on an automatic roller.

Someone suggested a SEAL AS1600 and I’ve discovered they are made in the UK. Anyone got one, seen one, know what they are like?

They are nearly $40,000 here, so its a big expense, and I’m keen to see if there is anything else that may come close, but be cheaper to buy?

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated,

    Thanks in advance

We have a Sallmetall hot/cold laminator, I believe that Seal bought Sallmetall. Some of the guys from Sallmetall went on to form Crest http://www.crest.nl who make really good top end machines and supply us with spares, maybe they can help you.

    Thanks for that guys.

Henry, they only seem to make film laminators, but I’ve only looked quickly. I’ll check it out later.

Rob, yes they sell them here too for about $4000, but they are only designed as a ‘light use’ type of unit. The low end of the market definitely.

The tendor requires 20,000 lineal metres of film to be laminated, so thats why I’m looking at something automated.

Thanks for your responses though. I appreciate your time.

    Shane
