  • can anyone else give some advise with using EPS ink?

Posted by Frank Horner on 30 July 2007 at 17:48

I have been offered what appears to be a cracking deal to switch to bulk EPS ink and am wondering if anyone is using it, if so I would like to get some feedback on it.
I was told that this ink is almost identical to Activasol and can be changed without flushing.
    Any info would be welcomed.

    thanks

    Hi

Used to use ITL Eps. Had a problem with supply direct from ITL. They ran out of Magenta. Plus the accounts department was very unfriendly.

We recently have been offered a great deal also from a third party supplier, and are thinking of switching back.

The ink itself is similar colourwise to Roland Eco-sol but more vibrant, I never had to alter profiles on colorip, whereas the ink I use now is completely different. Durability is better but not as good as a full solvent.

Never used activasol so can’t compare.

    Hope this helps,
    Cheers Stephen
