where can i get goldleaf in edinburgh?
forgive me if this is in the wrong place,
but, A prestigious hotel client of mine is in the process of doing up their swanky bar, and, on top of some sticker from me, the manager has asked me if I can find out about getting some real gold leaf done to make some really sweet highlights. (my gold vinyl is simply not posh enough it would seem!)Now, I have no experience whatsoever in this area, but thought the forums here would be the best place to locate an expert in the area,
Anyone reckon they might be interested?It’s a bit if an idea at the mo – both of us don’t know enough to work out if it’s possible/suitable at all,
but it is a pretty high end client…thanks in advance for your responses

You can also get 24carrot gold vinyl… this should be swanky enough for them, we used it for the poshisd hotel we have in the area, same place that we just put logos on a 240 grand roller!
Err can’t remember who sells it though, they have a few different finishes
Found it – Phillips Foils – 01268 288 955, not sure if other people sell it as well.

Listen to the Polish guy…Stewart McClaren is quite the gilder (a bit of a trip for him tho)
Also try Scott Telfer out of Glasgow.
My friend in Cowdenbeath is a hand painter, but I am not sure if she gilds or not.

you can buy sign gold gold leaf vinyl and i think there are alternatives to this from grafityp, see link on homepage. -
