    i think there maybe a bearing gone or something in the motor which runs the cable to pull head carriage along, its making a terrible rumbling sound can any body help me on this not sure what to tell the engineer that will have to come and fix it, an getting paranoid because i have it running all day Thursday, its as the cable and head is moving along printing

    Hi,

    It is probably the carriage motor, if it is a grinding sound as the carriage travels back and forth and it may stop for a while then come back it is most likely one of the bearings in the motor.
    The motor will be around the £300 mark, if you do any of your own maintenance it is not too difficult to change.
