building site boards
Posted by Derek Heron on 15 June 2007 at 09:54Hi
i have an enquiry in for a correx site board for a builder. i asked what he wanted on it and he said just the usual!
is there a standard board or are they all tailored to suit each site
i have my safety discs to go from for reference

I’ve never made a ‘standard’ one yet!
Just cover all the basics:
Hard hats/PPE, No unauthorised access, report to site manager, first aid, and a disclaimer (about not being a kiddies playpark).

Like Dave I wouldn’t know what a standard site board was, every site I have done has had different requirements so have had different info on it. There are obviously certain warnings that go on pretty much all boards as Dave has said.
When you say out of correx I take it you mean the 10mm site board not just a bit of 4mm. -
thanks guys
been out this afternoon and spotted a couple of sites on my travels.
both different so as long as i cover bases with the customer should be ok both i seen were 6mm correx 1 was 8 x 4 the other 6 x 4
thanks again guysderek

Have a look at somewhere like here. There are lots of them. Depends what the customer wants 🙂

thanks again.
does anybody have on file the general
site safety sign it goes
SITE SAFETY in green then then a statement
under the health and safety blah blah
then three bold yellow blue and red boxes
construction work in progress
safety helmets must be worn
unauthorised entry (spell checker wants me to change this to unaroused entry 😮 )
i believe this a standard sign and i am going to add the relevant ones around itDerek

Sure he dosnt just want a board with his details on – builders ask us for site boards they normally mean with their co. logo and contact details – unless they specify a site safety board?? – just a thought?
