As I have been unable to source the correct font needed, I thought I would have a bash at re-jigging a similar font, but there seem to be lots of programmes available, wondered if there was one which is reasonably simple to use?

I think corel lets you design a font and save as ttf…. not that I’ve done it mind..

I looked at doing my own fonts a few years ago…. If they had a forum like this it would be easier to work out, but it is a closed shop from what I can work out. No one is too keen to help at all….

I use Fontographer, but it can get fairly complex, and that’s putting it
mildly. May be OK if you are just modding an existing font, but creating
from scratch can be very time consuming.

I think FontCreator is rather cheaper than Fontographer or Fontlab, and there’s an evaluation period.

    Lorraine,
If you have SignLab, there is a function in the edit menu that allows you to modify or create a font. I’ve not tried it and I imagine it’s quite basic but it does allow for the finished shape to be saved as a VEF font.
