Just looking for a bit of advice,I know that Sublimation inks can migrate to other items if they’re not stored correctly.
But am I right in thinking that this is just on hard surfaces, and doesn’t happen with garments (?)
All help greatly appreciated 🙂 🙂

Not quite sure, I thought sub ink only did this when heated and then only onto polyester or something that had been treated with a Sub coating.

I have only heard of ink migrating from hard objects ( mugs, placemats etc ) to certain plastic packaging and i’ve read somewhere that it’s best to store/package these in tissue paper and then plastic bags.

Never seen it or had it happen myself and not heard of it in garments.

Have a look at subli-nation.co.uk forums because it was discussed there some time ago.

Mine inks migrate and fly south in winter.
They just came back with nice suntans.

Oh yes and no never heard of it happening either, once the ink is on the substrate it seems to be stuck there, as far as I have experienced anyway, the ink only turns to a gas at very high temperatures so unless they were stored near a heat or bright light source maybe I cant see how it could happen, I have had hard substrates in my shop window over a year now and not a single one has faded or bled etc.
