A Story of two little vans !

Two Brothers have a van each, both vans are similar size, similar amounts of material used, both with simple text / logos. So I quoted a similar price for each van, this is where I came unstuck. .. Not having done a Suzuki carry for a while I forget what a little nightmare they can be. . my van layouts don’t mention the Suzuki decals down each side ( the customer doesn’t want removed ) so I have to squeeze the livery in. . all of which was pre-cut as the vans were fitted onsite.

The Suzuki has the smallest panels and the biggest panel recesses I’ve come across. This makes designing and installing a pain. On the hand the lovely flat sides of the transit connect are an absolute joy !

Moral of the story. . . Pay more attention to detail and think carefully about application before quoting. 😀

Ahh peter thats the beauty of these little vans. . and the whole reason I wanted to remove the Suzuki text. That centre panel on the siding door is bigger than the rear panel in both horizontal and vertical planes . . gives the impression its pi$$ed. The text is actually square and level however it really needs to be leaning forward slightly, to appear level with the panels. The problem is when you do this it’s not square with the door runner / suzuki text and looks even worse.

Believe me I spent quite a bit of time trying to line things up here. ..

Try it next time you have a carry to do 😀

bet you wished you’d quoted the Suzuki owner an extra £50 😀

The Connect is simple and fresh. 😀

nice and clean exactly what a decorators van should be.

if people dont let me remove the carry lettering i offer a free replacement when they sell it as a incentive to remove it normally works.

plus its the customers advertising space not Suzuki’s.
