Still having problems with Summa D60SE OPOS and CoCut
I am going crazy with this Summa D60 SE, Corel X3 and Cocut Professional. I need someone who is familiar with cutting out stickers with this stuff so they can walk me through it step by step. I am beginning to think that the plotter is screwed up some way. I tried cutting it out in winplot to and the cutline does not line up with the artwork either. Below is a recsap of everything I have done until now. Please help me work this out. The question I have is that if it worked once why can’t it work everytime? If I get the markers lined up and they work. Why don’t they work again when they are saved as a template? I have so many questions and I am ready to sell the whole mess and get a new hobby! Here is what I have so far:
.I set the Corel X3 to letter size and made the format landscape.
.I used six markers 3mm X 3mm and set the origin on the lower left side
.I first made the graphic and printed it out (this is the graphic that I put into the cutter for cutting).
.I then outlined the artwork (using the boundaries feature in Corel ) and deleted the image so only the outline was left.
.I sent this to COCUT from Corel after saving the outline under a different name. You do not have to save it in any other format then the normal .CDR format.
.COCUT was configured without selecting a contour cut color
.The COCUT working area was set to landscape and “Letter”, was selected (215.90 x 279.40)
.COCUT recognized the 6 markers when the cut button was selected
.The Summa cutter Control was configured for opos and all the demensions were given to the cutter.
.After verifying that the marker distances were loaded in the OPOS settings, I then loaded the printed graphic, with the origin on the lower right side, into the plotter and pressed Auto Load. The plotter asked me to place the OPOS over the first marker. After that the plotter recognized the rest. The cutter cut the test perfect.Today I tried it again and It recognizes the markers but the print won’t line up with the cutlines. The plotter seems to cut in different spots each time. It is driving me crazy!
