I need to find a supplier of metallic vinyl. Believe it or not I’ve never had a request for it in 4 years. Anyways, I need yellow, black and red with a nice sparkle, like an ultra metallic. I’ve been through KPMFs website and I can’t find a yellow mentioned. Does it even come in yellow?

I really need to order this today (Friday) so if anyone has any swatches and wants to recommend any nice sparkly ones, then that would be Cool and the Gang.

    Ta.

    Thanks for that.
Have you ever used them? Is there a yellow? Is Topaz yellow? I can’t really tell from the picture on their website.

    Andy,

I’ve had a look at the Doro swatches. There is a black and a couple of nice reds, but no yellow. Seems like a strange omission.

Topaz is a sort of light bronzey colour.

Cheryl, do they have a yellow? If so, what range is it?

    Hi Andy,
I just had a look at the Hexis Ultra Metallic range (KG9100) and there is not a Yellow and the same goes for (KG9800) Glitter Metallic, everything but ….seems odd !

Funny I never noticed that before, I have just had a look at the oracal 851 range of metallic, lots of colours but no yellow.

    Andy,
What about putting a yellow overlay film onto some silver ultra metallic. Hexis do both as cast materials, so although it’ll be a bit on the thick side it should work.

Thanks for looking everyone. A friend of mine is going to print onto some silver metallic for me. Strange that you can’t get yellow though.

Andy, I am sure I have seen a yellow somewhere but can’t think where, it may have been one of the sparkly indoor vinyls rather than an exterior grade vinyl though.
I had swatches from someone that supplied coberns and another couple of American specialist vinyls and I am sure I saw something in one of them, obviously metallic yellow is not a particularly popular colour.

    Hi Martin.

Seen a yellow as well – think it may have been a Butter yellow. It was a long time ago so I may be talking out of my buttocks (!)

Sorry, I seem to have lost a few brain cells over the last few days 😮

    Cheers. Nick.

Nick, I haven’t lost any brain cells over the last couple of days, would have like to have lost a few but that’s another story. My only excuse is that I am a senile old so and so.
