fabricated signage: patricia forbes
Posted by David Rogers on 27 April 2007 at 17:29Completed this today.
Flat cut silver 5mm from Accent with a gunmetal vinyl ‘outline’ (10mm larger) on a pale grey background.
Think it really lifts the appearance – and increases the retail value!!

That’s a great idea that, gives it a permanent shadow which is realistic looking.

Was a direct copy of the customers ‘logo’ so kerning pretty tight as it was. Agree it could have been a few percent more on those letters – but needs must.
Yes – in in Brook Street in "The ‘ferry". 10 mins from me – so fine & handy!!Dave

Looks good dave. Is that on a dibond base? How did you secure it to the fascia?

Was customers new painted plywood fascia so just standard ‘pop’ fixings & 1" screws.
Great sunny day too – so applying the shadow was easy, (I had pre-marked the holes on the vinyl at the workshop), then quick 20mins putting the rest of it up.

I love it. Reminds me of being at the Vatican in Rome where they have painted the shadows on the roofs of the hallways.

I’ve got a load of flat cut letters to fit this week. . one of the more enjoyable fitting jobs. . . sitting up high on a sunny day popping on letters and watching the girls go by ! 😀
