    Hi there

Has anyone found a good pop-up media for using on the JV3.

We have found the colours to be quite flat and wondered if anyone had found a good brand to use?

    Thanks
    Rebecca

Anybody else got any good recommendations?

Would be interested in what other other JV3 owners are using.

    Thanks

i guess when i think about it more, i would say they are not vibrant just okay. I think i would choose gloss banner for vibrancy to be honest as the films are very matt.

is there anyone with a JV3 using it for mainly exhibition pop-ups and being happy with the results, if so what material?

We printed some panels for a customer a while ago who commented on the colours being very dull compared with the same job from another printer.

What the best printer for producing good prints for pop-up/banner stands??

    Thanks

Thanks for that Andrew. Will have to try that one.

We havnt used any of the products from Europoint, do they do any sample rolls do you know?

We havnt been pushing exhibition panels due to the problem with getting a decent colour which is a shame when you have a printer capable of doing the job! Just dont like sending work out that we are not happy with!

Do you use europoint for all your digital media? What do you mainly use your JV3 for?

I myself print inter coat gloss with a clear gloss plastic coating, it doesn’t dull the image and the clear plastic coating helps the colors come to life, either for pop ups banners which need to be flashy in colors, i always use gloss adhesives, pvc materials.

    Hope this helps

    Hi Rebecca,

I’ve been using hydrosol with my JV3, and using aps pop up Profile within shiraz. Only just started at this but have a customer who is very demanding and likes everything to be perfect and he was really happy so it must count for somthing.

If the print has a lot of black don’t use bi-directional and you will get some pooling of the black ink. Amari supply Hydrosol, give them a buzz
and they will send you a sample.

    Other than that it’s fine.

    Cheers

Is the hydosol a matt or gloss material and what laminate are you using?

Hydrosol products in general do not need lamination. you can contact the manufacturer direct for samples on the web address below. They do not sell direct to the end user.

    Hi Guys,

    To clear things up,

    Kernow make Hydrosol.

It is available in matt and gloss.

Europoint and possibly others stock it.

Andy and others print it on there Mimaki.

Robert uses it on his Grenadier.

We print it on our Roland in our Demo room.

Sample rolls 914mm x 3m are available , contact your local stockist.

    All the best

Can anyone help with which aps profile is best have a customer that has specified this product and we only have a small sample roll?

I used Hydrosol for a time, I have Grenadier and the profile I used was one for Litestop material.

I stopped using it because of static probloms, not bad but certain areas of print noticeable and also got droplets of ink building up on heads then dripping onto job. Maynot be a problem on JV3 but i earth bonded mine and still had issues, so now just use the litestop from B&P which is great stuff.

    Regards

    Russell.

Speak to APS they normally have profiles for all their media
