    Evening All,

Got a quick question. Have to do a Mercedes Sprinter Bonnet soon, just simple text, has anyone ever done one? Question is, the bonnet slopes back quick a bit, would you recommend stretching the height of the letters a bit to make the text more legible from the front if ya knkow what I mean??? 😕

    Alistair,

I personally try and avoid text on bonnets,
its not a good place for advertising, and it will appear distorted however you do it. try and talk the client into just using his logo on the bonnet, if he really wants to use the space.
If text is insisted upon, you can stretch a bit, but to much and it will look bad from the side, so try and use a naturally "tall" font if possible, I forget the technical term for it,

like peter says, general text is not something i would promote on a bonnet, company name or logo yes…
do not basterdise the font/text to suit the bonnet, as it is will be fine.
however, if its a long single line of text it will appear as a sad smile, 🙁 whilst the bonnet a happy one 😀
we had a 30 odd vans to do once and thats what was on the bonnet, so i raised each side 2 inches to form my own smile in the text, looked much better.
anyway, ide say no, leave it as it is.
