None of my local chemists have it ………. 😕 Was hoping just to dive out and pick some up rather than order it in, but it’s looking like I’m gonna have to do that.

    Hi Marcella,

it is normally supplied in bulk to lithographic printers normally 20 litre tubs i would check out your nearest printer and speak to the production manager. he should be able to point you in the right direction. 20 litres will last a long long time.

Try any bulk chemical suppliers. We use loads of it in our particular game, paint protection film on vehicles. Costs are around £20 per 5 litre can, or £60 for 25 litre drum. Hope this helps.

Not saying anything wrong with ebay stuff, but apa comes in various purities, doesn’t really matter if only for cleaning surfaces, but if for cleaning print heads etc it needs to be 99%

    just a point to remember

Yeah the ebay stuff is made from wood alcohol (CH3CH3OH) – not so good because it causes brain damage long term. 😕

Stick with the Vodka Marcella – You know it makes sense 😮

We use it for fixing the film at tack points after stretching on vehicles, and also for cleaning prior to applying the film.

    Top Secret!!

No, what we do is wet the film and the car with a slip solution, and then stretch the film where needed, and then spray the IPA mix to the tack points, squeegee, and hey presto, your car is protected from stonechips.
