Help / Advice please for a newbie
Hi,
We are a computer company involved in manufacturing our own PC’s and supplies of hardware/services.
We create quite a few sticker labels, some are always the same and some can be one off’s and we get these done by our local sign writers.
Also we do the design.
Trouble is we are now getting to the point where we need them virtually instantly and so we are looking at buying a device that can do this.
These are just badges,labels, notes tc nothing to large. It would be nice to print say up to 700mm.
Could anyone please recommend the most cost effective way to produce our own, what hardware we should be looking at.Can we use an inkjet and print them out then use a cutter plotter to cut them out or do we need a device that prints and cuts like our signwriter.
There can be multi colours on the labels.Many thanks for your advice,

The JV3 seems to be a popular choice for printing, but if you went down that route you would also need to buy a separate plotter that had a registration system for cutting them out.
The versacam seems to be a popular choice if you are looking for a print and cut machine. It is possible to buy both machines as a second user but you will have to look around a bit to find one as they are very popular. -

My own preferred method is for separate printer and cutter but a lot depends on what type of work and volumes. On a combined print and cut machine you can’t cut while you are printing, or vice versa, and that would cause serious bottlenecks here, but may suit you.
